How TipIQ works
The explanation and the takeaway matter just as much as the score. That is the whole design.
- 01
Answer five questions
One at a time, no timer, no penalty for thinking. Practical knowledge rather than obscure trivia.
- 02
Read the explanation
You immediately see whether you were right, what the correct answer is, and why it is true.
- 03
Keep the takeaway
Each question ends with one practical TipIQ takeaway - the bit you will still remember next week.
- 04
Come back tomorrow
A fresh five every day. Your streak, totals and strongest categories build up as you play - and every five days running banks a freeze that covers a missed day.
What you will be asked about
The mix makes each round a general knowledge quiz with a practical bias.
- Money
- Technology
- Health
- Travel
- History
- Science
- Everyday Life
Frequently asked questions
- Is TipIQ free?
- Yes. The daily five-question quiz is completely free to play, with no ads interrupting a round.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can play as a guest and your streak is kept on the device you play on. Creating a free account simply keeps your streak, scores and category strengths in sync across every device.
- How long does a round take?
- About five minutes. It is five questions a day, answered one at a time, with no timer and no penalty for thinking.
- What kind of questions will I get?
- Practical, useful knowledge across Money, Technology, Health, Travel, History, Science and Everyday Life - the sort of thing worth remembering, rather than obscure trivia.
- What happens if I miss a day?
- Every five days you play in a row banks a streak freeze, up to three at once. A freeze is spent automatically to cover a missed day, so one busy evening does not wipe out weeks of habit. Miss more days than you have freezes for and the streak does reset - a fresh five is waiting whenever you come back.
- How is my score compared with other players?
- Once enough people have finished a given day's round, your results screen shows roughly how your score compares - an honest comparison against real players, not a made-up number.
